Please note that this is a COURSE that follows a set syllabus and will involve a sequential step-by-step training in Academic Writing Task 1.
IT IS NOT A ONE-TIME WRITING PRACTICE LESSON.
You will learn how to:
- interpret charts, tables, graphs, diagrams
- describe trends
- summarise information
- compare and group information
- describe processes
You will receive homework and feedback for self-practice.

IELTS GENERAL WRITING TASK 1 COURSE (12 lessons)
Please note that this is a COURSE that follows a set syllabus and will involve a sequential step-by-step training in General Writing Task 1.
IT IS NOT A ONE-TIME WRITING PRACTICE LESSON.
You will learn how to
- Plan your letter by studying the task and identifying the purpose of the letter
- Organise your points clearly and logically
- Clarify the purpose of your letter by explaining the situation concisely
- Begin and conclude your letter appropriately
- Communicate your message clearly by using the right tone
- Use appropriate vocabulary
- Choose the right language and expressions
You will receive homework and feedback for self-practice.

IELTS WRITING TASK 2 COURSE (24 lessons)
Please note that this is a COURSE that follows a set syllabus and will involve a sequential step-by-step training in the IELTS writing test.
IT IS NOT A ONE-TIME WRITING PRACTICE LESSON.
You will learn how to:
- approach the task question
- plan your essay
- turn your ideas into written arguments
- link your ideas
- edit your essay
You will receive homework and feedback for self-practice.
*Each IELTS Writing session = 50 minutes
IELTS WRITING DISCUSSION (Single session)
This session is for candidates who do not want to follow a step-by-step approach but would like to go through writing that has already been prepared or would like detailed examiner feedback on their scripts.
You will receive
- detailed commentary and feedback on your writing measured against the four assessment criteria:
- suggestions on re-working your script
- a link to your session recording for self-review
- an e-mail copy of your writing feedback
*Each IELTS Writing Discussion session = 50 minutes
IELTS WRITING CHECK (NO LIVE CLASSES)
This service is suitable for more active editing in re-writing and re-working your text. There will be corrections to your manuscript, incorporating suggested changes into your text. This means inserting comments, questions and suggestions for you. You will receive tutor instructions when you make your lesson request.
You can choose either:
IELTS Writing Task 1 Check OR IELTS Writing Task 2 Check
You will do Task 1 or Task 2 or both and be required to submit your answer script in 150 words and above.
IELTS WRITING CHECK (NO LIVE CLASSES)
This service is suitable for more active editing in re-writing and re-working your text. There will be corrections to your manuscript, incorporating suggested changes into your text.
